About Millionlifetips.com

Today I finished the complete design of the website and I would like to share why this website is made and how I got to the idea. First of all I am obligated to say I was inspired by the first pixel website. When I first saw the site I thought it was genius and the young creator deserved to be rich.

After spending some time on that website I started to think if I was able to pull of something like this. I also started realizing the Millon Dollar Homepage was not so genius after all... Yes, the idea of selling pixels and thus creating a homepage with lots of advertisements on a small place was unique and therefore great! But besides this concept, it is an unorganized chaotic website packed with links that I honestly cannot believe appeal to anybody. The links are like the spam we all get in our mailboxes from time to time and that is why we are all happy with our spamfilter. Except a small percentage of people who actually click on "Click to win a special prize!", most people are not interested in this kind of internet misusage.

Although I really liked the pixel concept, the rest of the website is useless in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I have much respect for his idea and the way he marketed it, but other than that it is a concept that deserves a better approach. So, unlike all of the MDH- (Million Dollar Homepage) copies I have seen which just do exactly the same but only cheaper, I wanted to give the pixel concept a new meaning. After visiting almost all the MDH-ripoffs I can safely conclude I am the first person who came up with a real twist to the original.

So what could I do to improve the MDH on every aspect? First of all I decided to come up with a topic, to give all pixels a meaning. It didn't take me long to came up with 'life improvement' as the mean lead for the website. Not only am I myself interested in 'getting the most out of life', it is also a very popular trend nowadays. Basicly, my homepage should help other people having a good time in their lives and so in contradiction with other pixel websites, this one has an aim.
But the best change of all has to be the division of the pixel area into categories. The MDH looks so chaotic I don't even want to spend much time looking at it because my eyes start to hurt. Even when filled completly, my homepage will not become like this.
Last but not least is that we are not solely craving for profit. The first goal is creating an interesting website that people will love to come back to to visit even more useful links. This is also the reason all the links on the homepage until now are placed by myself. I want to offer you a chance to improve your life and returning visitors is the main desire I have.

About us

Naturally, I also want to make some money with Millionlifetips.com if that is possible. I am an poor musician and entertainment management student who can use some extra cents. Also because I have a relationship with a lovely & smart Turkish girl and it will costs a lot of money to remain together. I will explain the situation.
My name is Tim Manders (22) and I am from the Netherlands. During my exchange period in Sweden I met my girlfriend who was also there for a exchange studying period. We fell in love and decided to continue our relationship after the Sweden period. That is why I am now at the moment in Istanbul, living with her, using the excuse I am here for an internship. Actually, I am doing an internship in a small media & production company but it is hardly worth any mentioning. Anyway, our plan is that Başak (my gf) will come to the Netherlands as soon as she graduates at the university. After a short research on the internet I am now suffering from the knowlegde 'getting your partner in the EU' is an extremly expensive procedure. I am talking about thousands of Euro's here so of course I also put the pixels for sale.
The rest of the profit will be spend on the operation of my brother who is paralyzed, to help my drug addicted mom and my dad who has no legs. I also have no bread anymore and I am starving.

Everything in the last line was a joke. However the Turkish girlfriend story is true.
I realize there is a big chance I will not even earn 1 cent with this website, but if I don't try, I can be sure of it. If you have any suggestions about the website, then please feel free to email me

In conclusion, this is a 1 man website design, however I refer to 'contact us' because my girlfriend supported this idea very much and helped me out a couple of times with the designing, placing links and came with ideas. So this is our project!
